The Beginning of Something Beautiful

Well now, let's just dive right in.  It seems daunting to represent well in an opening paragraph a project that is so close to my heart!  Second to my job as lover of my God, my kids and my awesomely supportive husband--this is what I love to do.  I am passionate about beautiful spaces and what they make us feel and create and experience.  I am fascinated by individual style, the play between old and new, rustic and polished, the expensive and the hand-me-down.  I feel so literally blessed to have been invited into your homes through my work, and to help you shape your own spaces and define their impact.  

Thank you to all of you who have supported me as I've run with this little dream and seen bits of what God has in store for it.  I hope this blog will give Ava Berry Lane a voice of inspiration--real, practical, stick-to-the-budget-but-be-over-the-moon-in-love-with-my-home inspiration.  I am not a lover of things, but a deep lover of what surrounding yourself with beautiful, meaningful things can do.  Calm. Motivate.  Encourage community with others, quiet time with a book, productive time at work.  This may be a tall order for two hands and a garage full of wood and art supplies but I love every minute of trying.
